Doing campaign battles has been a great way to kill time lately, not to mention a fun alternative to exp! There's been numerous sightings of a lvl 72 mnk tanking various orcs around Jugner for hours at an end this week...
The most fun is i ever have is when 100 Fists is up and Alpha Gnole Anders attacks.
Dodge + Focus + Counterstance, and when he 2 hours his Hundred fists so do I and hillarity ensues.

On slow days like this I kinda miss playing ffxi :(
I bought a ps3 with VF5, motorstorm and RR7 though! Also found some new ffxi guidebooks in a bookstore that i had to buy. Fashion 2007 and areamaster guides haha. fashion had askar set ninjad in at the back so i guess its pretty new. Thinking about buying the guildmaster and jobmaster in the same series for fun.
I could post some pics if i could remember the password for my server or could be bothrered to open some free host account. maybe later.
almost at the end of another 3 hour session at my favorite free-coke internetcafe and downloding new heroes to watch on ps3 later.
I also know hiragana now. katakana next, then some kanji i guess >_>

Slowly getting adjusted to life in japan now as jetlag is starting to wear off and places to obtain food are found. Everything is going even better than expected and Im having a great time.
Planning a trip to Tokyo next weekend, Akihabara and Jimbocho more specifically, and Im looking for tips on nerd-related areas to check out in the area if anyone know some juicy shops to check out. My fried is interested in new and used doujinshis so a good place to find such items is welcomed.

It's the character L from the manga/anime Death Note in the likely event that he is unfamiliar. I was hoping I'd be done with it now but it looks like I'll have to wait until summer to complete it.
Leaving for japan on Sunday. Going to study japanese for 3 months in Sendai so I guess I wont be around for a while. Been seriously neglecting LJ eventhough there's been plenty to report too. I'm really enjoying myself in my new LS and its a shame i have to take a long break soon after joining but this is something that I want to do now. I'll be back early july to catch up on tv-shows and resume my duties ^.^
So, I'll see you later my neglected friends!

So I'm back after the summer break. Or have been for close to a month now but not much has happened.
Havent spent as much time online as i used to but with the temperature outside dropping everyday i feel those days are coming back soon. Mostly been getting to know some new people and enjoying Besieged on a regular basis with new friends which has been a lot of fun.
Taking time away from ffxi has given me a lot of time to spend on my neglected hobbies. Or it would have if i hadnt bought a ton of console games first thing.
But i have started drawing again. Like this one.

Part one of the set took place in old familiar zones up to lvl 55. Since then we've been spending all our time in the fresh ToAU zones which makes it much more enjoyable! The exp bonus from defending town, IS points to spend on coins to get closer to the turban that is much easier to get than it should be and ofcourse new mobs. Or one new, one reskinned and one that was the same old...
Started out by the Zfeeh Rise in Wajaom Woodlands on the Colibris there. I cant imagine ever setting foot in Cape Terrigan for exp after this addition, weak as shit mobs for great exp is win!
The fact that they are flying mobs only helped the corsair damage and highest slug shot was a whooping 896!
At this point the rookie bard Conlen joined our set as the 5th member making things go much smoother

Treasures of Aht Urhgan is finally here. Hundreds of acres of unexplored wilderness with dozens of new monsters to bash your face in, quests, missions, assault and merits to cap in new places. So what better way to spend the spring than to change job to the second on the list and bury yourself in dungeons not in the near east but really close to home!
MNK, NIN, BLU and COR started out as lvl 11 last thursday and hit 54 this morning after a bunch of allnighters (and allmorningers for some of us) There was a lot of worms at first as per usual and with exp ring and corsairs roll we got to see some pretty high exp numbers in Shakhrami Ended at 24 on Sauro beetles. The rest is kinda a blur but there was Korroloka crabs and Bibiki dhalmels at some point. Out of curiosity and insipired by Linaaa i started parsing all pts and now that part 1 is done I'm going to post the results here

Ever since i first got access to Riverne A end of may last year i've wanted to kill the dobsons for Voyagers Sallet. Today, finally, after standing around hunting TOD's several nights in a row we we've swatted those flies twice in two days and I'm the happy owner of both drops!
I wish i could have gotten better screens to celebrate the moment but i wasnt even around when the ring dropped and was busy lying face down in dirt when sallet dropped ^^; Bastard flies had the perfect strat of hitting me with slowga to erase shadows and then spam Aero 2 while I was gathering them for the smns >_>
But none of that matters, i got exactly what i wanted and im forever grateful to those who helped me out, aka the usual suspects <3>
Now that i can cross those off my list the next item to get is... ***a*!

Set pt is over and my warrior is finally 75. This leaves me with a lot of free time on my hands and consequently i need some new goals. For a very long time i've been wanting to get thf and nin to full af (atleast) so i've started preparing for that now. Thanks to rdm cats and friends that has been going quite well lately with killed nms giving me stuff i want :D
